Syfy is re-teaming with director/producer Bryan Singer (The Triangle) who with producers Andrew Deane and Keith Addisto will develop an as-yet-untitled six-hour miniseries dealing with the 2012 prophecies surrounding the Mayan calendar. Universal Pictures has officially announced that Ridley Scott is developing a film based on Aldous Huxley’s 1931 novel Brave New World. Scott may direct the project and Leonardo DiCaprio is on board to produce (and perhaps star). A lot of that will depend on the script, which will be written by Farhad Safinia (Apocalypto).
DreamWorks Pictures has made available the trailer for Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones, based on the best-selling novel by Alice Sebold about a 14-year-old girl who was murdered but is watching over her family, and her killer, from heaven.
