HBO has renewed three of its summer programs, including the award-winning drama True Blood (returning for a third season), freshman comedy Hung (returning for a second) and veteran drama/comedy Entourage (returning for a seventh season).
While all three shows have performed well this season, True Blood has done exceedingly so. The show has averaged an impressive 3.8 million viewers this season and notched a series-high 4 million viewers last week (the best original episode numbers for an HBO series since The Sopranos was on the air) .
