With Disney just recently announcing the acquisition of Marvel Entertainment in a $4 billion deal, 20th Century Fox shot back with their announcement that they are looking to reboot one of their major Marvel franchises; Fantastic Four. Upon approval by shareholders at Marvel, Walt Disney Company is purchasing Marvel Entertainment (including Marvel Studios) for $4 billion in cash and stocks. Under the terms of the deal Disney would acquire ownership of 5,000 Marvel characters:

Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, featuring the last performance of the late Heath Ledger, has been given a release date by Sony Pictures Classics — who recently acquired the North American rights to the film. The studio has set the film for release on Christmas Day.

Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet has been pushed back five months. Columbia Pictures has set a December 17, 2010 release for the film, co-written and starring Seth Rogen. However, the delay may not be such a bad thing. At least that’s what Rogen told HitFix:

A new behind-the-scenes featurette from the upcoming Diablo Cody-scripted horror comedy Jennifer’s Body has surfaced online (courtesy Yahoo! Movies). The video has been uploaded to YouTube and I’ve embedded it after the jump.
Synopsis
Demon possession, devilish cheerleaders, and Satanic rock stars are all on the chopping block with this horror comedy from the production team behind Juno. Screenwriter Diablo Cody provides the script, with producing duties handled by Jason Reitman and Dan Dubiecki. The story centers on an impish high-school student (Amanda Seyfried) who has to protect her town against her best friend, Jennifer (Megan Fox), who after being bedeviled by an evil rock band, develops a taste for human flesh. Girlfight’s Karyn Kusama directs the Fox Atomic production.

Columbia Pictures has released a new international movie trailer for the upcoming horror/comedy Zombieland. Check out the trailer after the jump.
Synopsis
A cowardly shut-in named Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) is forced to join up with a seasoned zombie slayer named Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) in order to survive the zombie apocalypse. As Tallahassee sets out on a mission to find the last Twinkie on Earth, the duo meets up with Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin), two young girls who have resorted to some rather unorthodox methods to survive amidst the chaos. Reluctant partners in the battle against the undead, all four soon begin to wonder if it might be better to simply take their chances alone.
