TV Guide Network has picked up the off-network rights to the ABC drama series Ugly Betty, marking the network’s first major series pickup since Lionsgate became a majority holder in the company. The series will begin its run on TV Guide Network this fall, with episodes airing two weeks after their original Friday broadcast on ABC. The fourth season launches on ABC October 9th.
Then in the fall of 2010, TV Guide will begin airing reruns of the show in primetime beginning with episodes from the first season. In related news, Jaime-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos) was recently added to the Ugly Betty cast.
