First Draft of Graphic Novel Follow-up to 300 Is Complete

The Hollywood Reporter’s Risky Biz Blog reports that Frank Miller has recently completed a draft of the new graphic novel that will serve as the basis for Warner Bros’ sequel to the 2007 hit 300. Risky Biz Blog reports that with Miller’s draft complete, the ball now rests with WB and others on the film side if the story can be translated successfully to the big screen.

Questions remain, such as who will come on board to adapt the novel to screen (300 co-writer Kurt Johnstad is expected to return, although he hasn’t been hired by the studio yet) and whether Zack Snyder — who is also not officially attached — will return to direct (although he has expressed interest in directing).
