AMC has announced that the third season of the Emmy Award-winning drama Mad Men will debut August 16th with limited commercial interruption. The network also announced that they’re making the first season available on-demand in both standard and high definition.
Fans who missed out on, or want to relive the second season, can tune in on August 9th when the network airs a marathon of the complete second season. AMC also resolved a small issue in terms of the shows runtime.
Earlier the network announced that they would be running an additional two minutes of ad time during the one-hour program. That didn’t sit so well with show creator/executive producer Matthew Weiner, but the matter has now been resolved. To accommodate the extra commercial time, the network will run the season three episodes slightly beyond the 11:00 pm time period.
