After just two episodes, Fox is pulling the poor performing animated comedy Sit Down, Shut Up from its current post-Simpsons time slot. Starting next week, the show will be moved to 7:00pm. Repeats of American Dad, which previously held that slot, will now be moved to 7:30pm, while the remaining episodes of the final season of King of the Hill will move into the 8:30pm slot.
Sit Down, Shut Up premiered on April 19th with just 5.19 million viewers and a 2.3 A18-49 rating. The series fell 19% among viewers (to 4.21 million viewers) and 17% among adults 18-49 (to a 1.9 rating) in week two this past Sunday. More disappointing, the show’s retention levels from its Simpsons lead-in was at just 63% among adults 18-49.
