Well this sucks. The history of NBC’s Kings should be well known by now. NBC premiered the show on Sunday nights, but after just four poorly viewed episodes, NBC sent the show off to die on Saturdays, and now the network has pulled the show off the schedule until this Summer.
This past Saturday was the series’ time slot premiere, and the results were disappointing to say the least: 1.5/3 HH rating/share, 2.24 million viewers and a 0.5/2 A18-49 rating. That’s an episode-to-episode decline of 40% among households, 38% among viewers and 55% among adults 18-49.
Starting this Saturday, NBC will air reruns of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in its place.
Although the network hasn’t yet officially canceled the show…well you know.
Kings will return to its Saturday 8:00 p.m. time slot on June 13th, where it will be allowed (hopefully) to finish its run through July 25th.
