The latest issue of TIME Magazine features an article about 3-D films and the reporter got to see some footage from James Cameron’s upcoming 3-D epic Avatar. Here’s a small excerpt from the article:
I couldn’t tell what was real and what was animated–even knowing that the 9-ft.-tall blue, dappled dude couldn’t possibly be real. The scenes were so startling and absorbing that the following morning, I had the peculiar sensation of wanting to return there, as if Pandora were real.
Sign me up! I’m really looking forward to the film. Which reminds me, where’s the teaser trailer?
Be sure to head on over to TIME to read the entire article. It’s a great piece on the (hopefully) re-emergence of 3-D films. Well worth the read.
Avatar is scheduled to hit theaters on December 25, 2009.

Variety is reporting that Peter Segal (Get Smart) has emerged as the front runner to direct Little Fockers, the third film in the Meet the Parents/Meet the Fockers Universal Pictures franchise. Segal came available after Steve Carell decided to hold off on Get Smart 2, opting instead to work with Tina Fey in the Shawn Levy-directed comedy Date Night for 20th Century Fox.
Segal is still expected to direct Get Smart 2.

President Barack Obama’s appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Thursday night gave the show its highest ratings in four years. The episode drew an 11.2/26 HH rating/share (in the overnight metered markets), matching the number that Leno pulled in a January 2005 tribute episode following the death of Johnny Carson.
