Warner Bros. and producer Dan Lin are in early development on a reboot of Tomb Raider, based on the popular video game series.
The new project will reimagine the origins of the character, her love interest and the main villain. An actress to take on the role, played by Angelina Jolie in the prior two films, will likely come after a write and director are attached.
Released in 2001, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider grossed $274.7 million worldwide, while the sequel grossed a less impressive $156.5 million in 2003.
