Broadcast TV Ratings for Saturday, September 6, 2008

Note: Due to the unavailability of the fast nationals last week, “Last Week” numbers in this week’s report are based on the final national numbers.

Additionally, household rating/share numbers were not available for this evening.

FOX finished in first place for the evening with 5.31 million viewers and a 1.8/6 rating/share among adults 18-49.

  • Last Week:
    • 3.0/6 HH rating [#2]
    • 4.73M viewers [#2]
    • 1.7/6 A18-49 rating [#2]
  • 8:00 & 8:30 p.m.: Back-to-back episodes, including the season premiere, of Cops (5.27M viewers, 1.9/6 A18-49 rating/share).
  • 9:00 p.m.: And the season premiere of America’s Most Wanted (5.34M viewers, 1.8/5 A18-49 rating/share).
    • Week-to-week numbers:
      • Households – 3.3/6 to x.x/x
      • Viewers – 5.02M to 5.34M
      • Adults 18-49 – 1.8/6 to 1.8/5

NBC followed in second place for the evening with 3.66 million viewers, but was third among adults 18-49 with a 0.9/3 rating/share.

  • Last Week:
    • 2.2/4 HH rating [#4]
    • 3.09M viewers [#4]
    • 0.8/3 A18-49 rating [#4]
  • 8:00 p.m.: A repeat of Chuck (2.47M viewers, 0.7/2 A18-49 rating/share).
  • 9:00 p.m.: That was followed by a repeat of Law & Order: Criminal Intent (3.80M viewers, 0.8/3 A18-49 rating/share).
  • 10:00 p.m.: And another repeat of Law & Order: Criminal Intent (4.71M viewers, 1.2/4 A18-49 rating/share) ended the evening for NBC.

CBS finished in third place for the evening with 3.53 million viewers, but was fourth among adults 18-49 with a 0.8/3 rating/share.

  • Last Week:
    • 2.8/6 HH rating [#3]
    • 4.08M viewers [#3]
    • 0.9/3 A18-49 [#3]
  • 8:00 p.m.: The U.S. Open (2.89M viewers, 0.6/2 A18-49 rating/share).
  • 10:00 p.m.: And an original episode of 48 Hours Mystery (4.80M viewers, 1.2/4 A18-49 rating/share) ended the evening for CBS.

ABC followed in fourth place for the evening with 3.23 million viewers, but managed a second place finish among adults 18-49 with a 1.0/3 rating/share.

  • Last Week:
    • 3.6/7 HH rating [#1]
    • 5.66M viewers [#1]
    • 1.9/7 A18-49 rating [#1]
  • 8:00 p.m: Due to a weather delay, a repeat of the film Catch Me If You Can aired instead of  NASCAR coverage (3.23M viewers, 1.0/3 A18-49 rating/share).
    • Last week’s numbers (ABC Saturday Night College Football: Alabama at Clemson/Michigan State at California – 8:07-11:45pm):
      • Households – 3.6/7
      • Viewers – 5.60M
      • Adults 18-49 – 1.9/7
