The official website for J.J. ABC Orders TV Pilot of “The Witches of Eastwick”

ABC has put in a script order for a new TV series based on the supernatural movie The Witches of Eastwick.  The pilot will be written by Dawson’s Creek writer Maggie Friedman.

‘Night at the Museum 2′ and ‘Transformers 2′ To Hit IMAX

20th Century Fox and DreamWorks/Paramount will release Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, respectively, in both conventional and IMAX theaters next year.  ‘Night at the Museum 2′ hits theaters on May 22, 2009, while Transformers 2 follows on June 26, 2009.

J.J. Abrams Signs Onto Earthquake Disaster Project

Universal Pictures has announced that J.J. Abrams (Lost, Star Trek) is developing an Earthquake disaster film with screenwriter David Selzter (Omen).  While details on the project are being kept under tight wraps–surprise, surprise–we do know that it isn’t a remake of Universal’s 1974 film of the same name, Earthquake.
