It will be sad to not be able to see Doctor who for a year but at least it won’t be a ‘cold turkey’ hiatus but there will be specials in between. I was quite relieved that David Tennant didn’t regenerate and have to say he had me fooled =p but he wouldn’t be the doctor if wasn’t such a great actor! Soo relieved (in my conviction) he is staying on for Doctor Who. I usually download the episodes from minitorrent.com. =)

A little confusing for US of A viewers. Friday night’s episode on SciFi (not not BBCA, which is still showing episodes with Agyeman) was the “Midnight.” The Graham Norton Show, from 12 Jul 08, has Tate, which is indicating that the Doctor is regenerating, which keyed me to run to the Internet. “Turn Left” is on next week. So, in any event, we’ll see Tennet starting to regenerate. And, if the show goes on a year break, my sons and I are really going to miss it!

David has wanted to be The Doctor since he was a kid in the 80′s, I think it would be horrible to come in and play the role you have dreamt of forever only to leave because of your fear of being typecast.
This sounds like a great deal to me, hopefully he will take it and give Tom Baker a run for his money, because there is a reason why he is only the third Doctor to be ranked number one by the fans.

You’re so wrong, just cos that’s what’s happened in the past isn’t necessariliy so, stop being such a know it all and admit like the rest of the fans you don’t know, as it says above and as Russell Davies the main writer has stated no one is 100% sure so stop being such an arse and pretending you know everything in the entire universe cos you don’t admit you’re wrong and learn some humility, or are these words too big for you to understand?? He is leaving… The most recent show on the 28/6/08 ended with him regenerating after being grazed by a shot from a Darlek… He is being replaced.
