A couple new movie posters for The Punisher: War Zone, the Marvel/Lionsgate remake from director Lexi Alexander, have been released. The latest posters are less teaser than the first (which only had the Punisher logo), and instead feature the title character Ray Stevenson as Frank Castle and a new tagline over him: “Vengeance Has A Name”. Click the poster below for a better look, and different angles/versions of the artwork.
Synopsis
Marvel Comics’ vigilante character The Punisher gets another big-screen chance in this third film incarnation of the character, this time from Hooligans director Lexi Alexander and Lionsgate Entertainment. For quite some time, it’s been reported that the current Doctor of “Doctor Who”, David Tennant, would be leaving the show (including on this site). However, it turns out that he may be staying. According to reports, BBC is rumored to be offering Tennant a new contract worth £1.3 million, or about £100,000 per episode (about $2.6M or a shade under $200,000/episode) to carry on as Doctor Who. In addition, he could be offered other drama projects in an attempt to keep him on board. More after the jump.

Today the site recorded its 1,000,000th visit (3:25am on Sunday, June 29, 2008). Not bad eh? I don’t usually celebrate things like this, but I figured, what the heck. It only happens once right?
I started the site back in September of 2006 mainly as a way for me to jot down my thoughts on broadcast TV ratings, and to occasionally throw in articles and what not on movies, television and other miscellaneous things that interest me. I never envisioned it to become in anyway popular, so you can’t imagine how pleased I am that it’s been so successful.
I thank you all for the visits, comments and e-mails. I plan to grow the site, adding more reviews, giveaways and original content. I hope you continue to frequent the site as I grow.
Thanks again,
Russ

After an ancient truce existing between humankind and the invisible realm of the fantastic is broken, hell on Earth is ready to erupt. A ruthless leader who treads the world above and the one below defies his bloodline and awakens an unstoppable army of creatures. Now, it’s up to the planet’s toughest, roughest superhero to battle the merciless dictator and his marauders. He may be red. He may be horned. He may be misunderstood. But when you need the job done right, it’s time to call in Hellboy (Ron Perlman). Along with his expanding team in the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense—pyrokinetic girlfriend Liz (Selma Blair), aquatic empath Abe (Doug Jones) and protoplasmic mystic Johann—the BPRD will travel between the surface strata and the unseen magical one, where creatures of fantasy become corporeal. And Hellboy, a creature of two worlds who’s accepted by neither, must choose between the life he knows and an unknown destiny that beckons him.
