If ABC continues to abandon shows of this caliber to rush to replace it with yet another cheaply produced, dummed-down "reality show", they will continue to see educated, moneyed viewers exit in droves to cable nets who are willing to invest in producing quality entertainment. Net Execs take note: It takes millions of dollars and years to build a brand and just a few bad seasons to help cable nets level the playing field because they're willing to air "Smart" shows...... I have faith there are a few "quality-minded" cable execs who understand that airing one "smart" show can build a brand but by airing a "smart" show with a loyal following, they can boost their bottom line.
