Broadcast TV Ratings for Friday, May 23, 2008

A lackluster Friday night, with no network managing to crack even a 4.0 household rating, went to CBS. Overall though, the five nets were very close in terms of viewers.

CBS finished in first place for the evening with a 3.9/7 household rating/share and 5.99 million viewers and was tied for first among adults 18-49 with a 1.5/5 rating/share.

  • 8:00 p.m.: A repeat of Ghost Whisperer (3.5/7 HH rating/share, 5.14M viewers, 1.3/5 A18-49 rating/share).

      • Viewers – 8.44M
      • Adults 18-49 – 2.0/8

NBC followed in second place for the evening with a 3.8/7 household rating/share and 5.55 million viewers, and managed a tie for first place among adults 18-49 with a 1.5/5 rating/share.

  • 8:30 p.m.: Another repeat of Most Outrageous Moments (3.2/6 HH rating/share, 5.05M viewers, 1.5/6 A18-49 rating/share).
  • 9:00 p.m.: Dateline NBC (4.0/7 HH rating/share, 5.86M viewers, 1.6/5 A18-49 rating/share).

ABC finished in third place for the evening with a 3.0/6 household rating/share and 4.22 million viewers, but fell to fourth place among adults 18-49 with a 1.3/4 rating/share.

FOX followed in fourth place for the evening with a 2.5/5 household rating/share and 4.04 million viewers, but managed a third place finish among adults 18-49 with a 1.4/5 rating/share.

The CW finished in fifth place for the evening with a 2.3/4 household rating/share, 4.00 million viewers and a 1.2/4 rating/share among adults 18-49.
