Reaper Renewed, 90210 Spinoff Picked Up

Kristin over at E! Online is reporting from her sources that it’s looking “likely” that The CW will renew Reaper.  Because of its low ratings, a renewal for Reaper wasn’t expected: “If you had asked me a week ago, I would have said no, but there have been a few changes, and now it’s looking like it’ll probably get the green light,” reports an insider source.  Krisin also reported that the network will be picking up the new 90210 spinoff.

  • The CW’s core demo is Women 18-34, so it’s certainly true the show doesn’t rate well in that demo.

    If you ask me though, it’s quite foolish to try to build a national broadcast network on such a core audience. They need to expand their audience, not shrink it.
