Warner Bros. has released the first movie trailer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The film, a lead-in to the upcoming fall animated cartoon series, hits theaters on August 15th. Just yesterday, the first photos were released of Josh Brolin as George W. Bush and Elizabeth Banks as Laura Bush from Oliver Stone’s George W. Bush biopic W. Universal Pictures has signed Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy director Gore Verbinski to direct and produce an adaptation of the popular video game Bioshock, Variety reports. John Logan (Aviator) is in talks to write the film’s screenplay.

Lionsgate has picked up the rights to the comic book Deal With the Devil. The studio has set writer Kyle Ward to adapt the comic book for film. The comic’s story, published by Alias, centers on a Chicago detective who is forced to take on an unlikely new partner: the original serial killer. [THR]
