Just yesterday, the first photos were released of Josh Brolin as George W. Bush and Elizabeth Banks as Laura Bush from Oliver Stone’s George W. Bush biopic W. Plus we got an extensive feature on the film, which you can check out here.  Today Lionsgate has set the film’s nationwide release for October 17, 2008.  Production on the film hits full speed next week, despite the fact that Dick Cheney’s role is still unfilled.  Stone is definitely intent on getting this film out in time before the end of Bush’s term.

The final two seasons of Lost will be two episodes longer.  The 2009 and 2010 seasons of the series will be 17 hours each, not 16 as was originally planned.  When the network picked the show up for three more seasons, it was for 48 hours (16-16-16), but because the writer’s strike knocked out three hours out of the current season, the network is compensating for that loss.  ABC recently added an additional hour to Part 2 of the season finale that airs on May 29th.
