Broadcast TV Ratings for Tuesday, May 6, 2008

An 8:00 pm Dancing With the Stars special cut into American Idol’s dominance, causing a drop in week-to-week viewership for ‘Idol’ of a significant 3.84 million viewers/15% and 9% among adults 18-49.  It was the weakest performance of the season thus far for a Tuesday edition of American Idol.  Continue reading for a complete look at last night’s ratings.

Fox finished in first place for the evening with a 9.6/15 household rating/share, 16.25 million viewers and a 6.7/18 rating/share among adults 18-49.
