After last year’s departure of Jorja Fox from the show, another actor is leaving the hit CBS procedural CSI. TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello is reporting that Gary Dourdan, who plays Warrick Brown on the show, is leaving a show. A precise time table for the exit hasn’t been announced. Dourdan’s contract is up at the end of next month.
When reached for comment, a CBS spokesperson said: “We can’t confirm or deny this information.”
In the meantime, Ausiello reports that CSI executives are busy looking for a replacement for the actor and they’ve put out a casting call for a new male series regular in his late twenties to early thirties. The new character, Ray Santoro, is described as “handsome, smart and athletic”.
In a separate report, EW is reporting that the actor could return next season as a guest star.
