Broadcast TV Ratings for Thursday, April 10, 2008

CSI just barely held off American Idol as the nights most watched series among total viewers, but Idol was ahead among adults 18-49.  In the end, CBS was the nights most watched network among households, while Fox took first place among both viewers and adults 18-49.

Elsewhere on the evening, the results for the return of NBC comedies 30 Rock, The Office and Scrubs and E.R. were mixed.  The Office improved by 5% among viewers and Scrubs by 36%, while both 30 Rock and E.R. saw their audiences decline (4% for 30 Rock and 15% for E.R.).

The Desperate Housewives repeat helped Eli Stone to a small bounce in viewers and adults 18-49. Don’t forget that there will be a special airing of the series out of an original installment of Desperate Housewives this Sunday.

CBS finished in first place for the evening with a 9.7/15 household rating/share, but was second among both viewers (15.41 million) and adults 18-49 (4.5/12 rating/share).
