Broadcast TV Ratings for Saturday, April 5, 2008

CBS had no trouble with the competition on Saturday night, as the networks coverage of the NCAA Basketball Tournament drew nearly 13 million viewers and was strong among adults 18-49 (4.5 rating).

CBS finished in first place for the evening with a 7.9/14 household rating/share, 12.86 million viewers and a 4.5/15 rating/share among adults 18-49.

FOX followed in a tie for second place for the evening among households with a 3.5/6 household rating/share, but was alone in second among both viewers (5.63 million) and adults 18-49 (1.9/6 rating/share).

NBC finished in a tie for second place for the evening with a 3.5/6 household rating/share, was third among viewers with 4.87 million and was tied for third among adults 18-49 with a 1.2/4 rating/share.

  • 9:00 p.m.: A repeat of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (3.3/6 HH rating/share, 4.76M viewers, 1.3/4 A18-49 rating/share).
  • 10:00 p.m.: A repeat of Law & Order (4.3/8 HH rating/share, 6.02M viewers, 1.4/5 A18-49 rating/share).

ABC followed in fourth place for the evening with a 2.3/4 household rating/share and 3.82 million viewers, but managed a third place tie among adults 18-49 with a 1.2/4 rating/share.
