NBC today announced that the network will use the post Super Bowl slot this season to launch a spinoff series to the the hit comedy The Office. Immediately following NBC Sports’ Super Bowl XLIII coverage, the network will first present an original episode of The Office, followed by the debut of the new spinoff comedy. [...]

There was no joking around last night, as Fox easily carried the evening thanks to American Idol and the fourth season premiere of Hell’s Kitchen, which was boosted by a significant 4.39 million/54% among viewers and 54% among adults 18-49 thanks to the American Idol lead-in.
