The first elimination episode of American Idol, and Don’t Forget the Lyrics!, led FOX to an easy first place finish on Thursday night.

Don’t Forget the Lyrics! was boosted by 3.84 million or 44% among viewers and a staggering 55% among adults 18-49 from its last newly aired episode thanks to its American Idol.

Elsewhere on the evening, CBS got another great night from its mixture of repeats (CSI and Without a Trace) and an original episode of the latest installment of Survivor to finish in a competitive second place for the evening among total audience.

ABC’s Lost seems to have stabilized in its fourth week back on the air, as the series posted nearly identical numbers from the week prior. Also worth noting is that Lost was the second most-watched program of the evening, behind American Idol. Eli Stone also managed to stay even with last week episode, though its numbers still remain relatively low, as does its retention from Lost, especially among adults 18-49. (60% among households, 56% among viewers and 47% among adults 18-49.)

NBC’s numbers were nothing out of the ordinary with a solid performance from Celebrity Apprentice, though its declined in recent weeks. Lipstick Jungle also stabilized, but its numbers are too low.

The CW even got in on some of the good news for the evening. Supernatural, without the benefit of an original episode of Smallville leading into it, proved that it can stand on its own. The series improved by 8% among both viewers and adults 18-49.
