It’s Official: Del Toro Signed for “The Hobbit”

The talks between MGM, New Line and Guillermo Del Toro were successful, an official official announcement of the director signing on to The Hobbit project was made during the French premiere of his latest film Orphanage.

Disney Planning for “National Treasure” 3 and 4?

With over $365 million worldwide, Disney has another hits on their hands with National Treasure: Book of Secrets.  Well, yesterday Disney registered the domain names NationalTreasure3DVD.com and NationalTreasure4DVD.com, so it seems like the studio is at least looking towards the possibility of more films in the franchise.

New “Star Wars: Clone Wars” Character

More Than 8 Million Tune In to CNN Democratic Debate

CNN’s presentation of the California Democratic Debate between Senator’s Obama and Clinton drew a massive audience of 8.32 million viewers. Obliterating the prior cable news record for a debate (4.91 million, accomplished just last week, also by CNN).

Lost returned strongly Thursday night, as the season four premiere succeeded in attracting a large audience. Though off from its season three premiere, the show rebounded significantly from last season’s finale, improving by 16% or over 2 million viewers and 14% among adults 18-49.
