Freddy Krueger is returning to theaters. Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form have been set up by New Line to relaunch the movie series.

CBS is partnering with Canadian television network CTV to produce at least 13 episodes of a police drama currently titled Flashpoint. The series co-stars Enrico Colantoni (Veronica Mars).

Another casting announcement has been made for JJ Abrams Star Trek. ComingSoon.net is reporting that child actor Jimmy Bennett has been cast as a young Kirk in the film.
