On New Year’s Eve, ABC leads the night among households, viewers and adults 18-49 courtesy the nights most-watched program Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2008.

ABC finished in first place for the evening with a 4.2/9 household rating/share, 7.79 million viewers and a 2.4/8 rating/share among adults 18-49.

NBC finished in third place for the evening with a 2.5/5 household rating/share, but was fourth among both viewers (3.88 million) and among adults 18-49 (1.2/4 rating/share).

The CW was left for a fifth place finish with a 0.8/2 household rating/share, 1.09 million viewers and a 0.4/1 rating/share among adults 18-49.

  • 9:00 & 9:30 p.m.: Also airing repeats were Girlfriends (0.7/1 HH rating/share, 893,000 viewers, 0.3/1 A18-49 rating/share) and The Game (0.8/2 HH rating/share, 950,000 viewers, 0.3/1 A18-49 rating/share).
