Broadcast TV Ratings for Friday, December 28, 2007

Overall weak evening results in surprisingly close numbers between all five networks, with just under 1.5 million separating the nights most-watched network (CBS) and the nights least-watched network (CW).

Fox and NBC shared the Adults 18-49 win.

CBS finished in a tie for first for the evening with a 3.9/7 household rating/share, was alone in first place among viewers with 6.04 million, but fell to third place among adults 18-49 with a 1.6/5 rating/share.

      • Viewers – 4.31M
      • Adults 18-49 – 0.8/3
  • 9:00 p.m.: That was followed by a repeat of Moonlight (3.3/6 HH rating/share, 5.01M viewers, 1.4/4 A18-49 rating/share).
  • 10:00 p.m.: And lastly, CBS ended the evening with a repeat of Numb3rs (4.5/9 HH rating/share, 6.74M viewers, 1.8/5 A18-49 rating/share) ended the evening for CBS.

NBC followed in a tie for first place for the evening with a 3.9/7 household rating/share, was second among viewers with 5.91 million, and managed a solid tie for first among adults 18-49 with a 1.9/6 rating/share.

ABC finished in third place for the evening with a 3.6/6 household rating/share and 5.39 million viewers, but fell to a tie for fourth place among adults 18-49 with a 1.3/4 rating/share.

  • 10:00 p.m.: And lastly, an original episode of 20/20 (3.8/7 HH rating/share, 5.63M viewers, 1.6/5 A18-49 rating/share) ended the evening for ABC.

FOX followed in fourth place for the evening with a 3.2/6 household rating/share and 5.28 million viewers, but finished in a strong tie for first among adults 18-49 with a 1.9/6 rating/share.

  • 8:00 p.m.: A repeat of the theatrical movie Bruce Almighty (3.2/6 HH rating/share, 5.28M viewers, 1.9/6 A18-49 rating/share).

      • Households – 1.8/3
      • Viewers – 2.73M
      • Adults 18-49 – 1.0/3

The CW finished in fifth place for the evening with a 2.5/4 household rating/share and 4.56 million viewers, but was a tad stronger among adults 18-49, where it tied for fourth place with a 1.3/4 rating/share.
