Back nine orders have been given to two new shows this season, ABC’s drama Private Practice and CBS’s comedy The Big Bang Theory. CBS also gave a back nine order to its third year drama The Unit.

The CW has canceled the low-rated new program Online Nation. They will be replacing the show with repeats of freshman comedy Aliens in America. This marks the first official cancellation of the season.
