2007 Emmy Nominations Announced

Nominations for the 2007 Primetime TV Emmy awards have been announced, with HBO once again leading the way with its 86 nominations, followed by ABC’s 70.

New series were well represented with Heroes snapping up eight nominations, including one for Outstanding Drama and one for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series (Masi Oka).  Ugly Betty picked up 11 nominations, including one for Comedy and several in the acting field chief among them America Ferrera for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series and Vanessa Williams for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series.

Joining Heroes in the Drama category was fellow newcomer (though about to begin its fourth year) Boston Legal, Grey’s Anatomy, House and The Sopranos.

The rest of the Comedy category was filled out by newcomer 30 Rock, Entourage, The Office and Two and a Half Men.
