Broadcast TV Ratings for Friday, June, 29, 2007

The CW takes a rare win on the evening among adults 18-49, while CBS takes first among households and viewers.

CBS finished in first place for the evening with a 3.7/7 household rating and 5.68 million viewers and was tied for second among adults 18-49 with a 1.3/5 rating.

  • Last Week:

  • CBS’s all-repeat line-up remained virtually even from the week prior, with Numb3rs once again taking top honors as the evening’s most watched show.
  • 8:00 p.m.: A repeat of Ghost Whisperer (3.0/6 HH rating, 4.54M viewers, 1.3/6 A18-49 rating).
  • 9:00 p.m.: A repeat of Close to Home (3.9/8 HH rating, 5.84M viewers, 1.2/4 A18-49 rating).
  • 10:00 p.m.: A repeat of Numb3rs (4.4/8 HH rating, 6.67M viewers, 1.6/6 A18-49 rating).

NBC followed in second place for the evening among households with a 3.0/6 household rating and 4.46 million viewers, and was tied for second among adults 18-49 with a 1.3/5 rating.

  • NBC also aired an evening of repeats, and got numbers that should be expected for the content aired.
  • 8:00 p.m.: A repeat of 1 vs. 100 (3.5/7 HH rating, 5.15M viewers, 1.4/6 A18-49 rating).
  • 9:00 p.m.: A repeat of Las Vegas (2.5/5 HH rating, 3.72M viewers, 1.3/4 A18-49 rating).
  • 10:00 p.m.: A repeat of Law & Order: Criminal Intent (3.1/6 HH rating, 4.52M viewers, 1.3/5 A18-49 rating).

ABC finished in third place for the evening with a 2.6/5 household and 3.65 million viewers, but was fourth among adults 18-49 with a 1.2/4 rating.

  • 8:00 p.m.: ABC decided to switch out Kyle XY for back-to-back repeats of George Lopez (2.2/5 HH rating, 2.90M viewers, 0.9/4 A18-49 rating) and the results weren’t much higher, with only minimal gains being registered.
  • 9:00 p.m.: Kyle XY (1.8/3 HH rating, 2.55M viewers, 0.9/4 A18-49 rating) moved out of its 8 p.m. time slot and took over this slot for the recently ended National Bingo Night (which finished its six-episode run last week). The results were poor, with the series falling by 890,000 viewers (35%) and 25% among households. Additionally, it was off slightly from last weeks episode (which again aired an hour earlier last week).

      • Households – 2.0/4 to 1.8/3
      • Viewers – 2.84M to 2.55M
      • Adults 18-49 – 0.8/4 to 0.9/4
    • Last week’s numbers (National Bingo Night):

  • 10:00 p.m.: 20/20 (3.9/8 HH rating, 5.51M viewers, 1.8/6 A18-49 rating) showed solid growth from its lead-in and despite dipping ever so slightly week-to-week among households and viewers, managed to increase among adults 18-49, turning in the evenings highest rating among that demo (+12.5% from the week prior).

      • Households – 4.0/8 to 3.9/8
      • Viewers – 5.76M to 5.51M
      • Adults 18-49 – 1.6/5 to 1.8/6

The CW followed in fourth place for the evening with a 2.4/5 household rating, but was third among viewers with 4.01 million and managed a first place rating among adults 18-49 with a 1.4/5 rating.

  • 8:00-10:00 p.m.: WWE Smackdown (2.4/5 HH rating, 4.01M viewers, 1.4/5 A18-49 rating) remained consistent from last week, growing slightly among households and viewers and remaining solid throughout its two hours to give The CW a rare victory (solo) for the evening among the coveted Adults 18-49 demographic.

      • Households – 2.4/5 to 2.4/5
      • Viewers – 3.85M to 4.01M
      • Adults 18-49 – 1.3/4 to 1.4/5

FOX finished in fifth place for the evening among households with a 2.5/5 household rating, 3.59 million viewers and a 0.9/4 rating among adults 18-49.

    • 3.61M viewers [#5]
    • 1.2/4 A18-49 rating [#t3]
  • 8:00 p.m.: A repeat of Bones (2.6/5 HH rating, 3.84M viewers, 1.0/4 A18-49 rating).
  • 9:00 p.m.: A new episode of Standoff (2.3/4 HH rating, 3.35M viewers, 0.9/3 A18-49 rating) held firm among households and viewers from the week prior but lost 18% of its A18-49 demo, after registering a decent increase last week.
    • Week-to-week numbers:
      • Households – 2.3/4 to 2.3/4
      • Viewers – 3.36M to 3.35M
      • Adults 18-49 – 1.1/4 to 0.9/3
