The latest installment in the Die Hard franchise, Live Free or Die Hard, opened with a comfortable $9.11 million on Wednesday, with the studio happy with the first feedback received from early exit polling from moviegoers.

With Warner Bros. passing on renewing their rights to the Conan: The Barbarian franchise, Variety is reporting that the film rights to the Robert E. Howard classic are being picked up New Line Cinema.
