ABC Renews “October Road” and “Notes from the Underbelly”

ABC has given second season orders to two of its recently introduced series; October Road and Notes from the Underbelly.

Nicolas Cage To Play Al Capone

MTV is reporting that Nicolas Cage has been confirmed to play a younger version of Chicago mob boss, Al Capone in The Untouchables: Capone Rising.

“‘Til Death” Renewed

FOX will renew ‘Til Death.  Previously unexpected to make a return, FOX seen potential in the show and helped it grow by having it lead-out of American Idol. The move paid off, with ratings increasing dramatically, as the series did a good job in regards to retention out of the hit reality series.

Debut Date Set for “Big Love” Season 2

HBO has, finally, set the premiere date for the polygamy series Big Love.  The show will return to the lineup on a new day and time, Monday, June 11 at 9:00 p.m.

FOX Announces “American Idol” Spin-Off

Mentioned on this past Wednesday’s “Results” show, FOX has announced they will be launching a spin-off from the ‘Idol’ juggernaut focusing on a search for a band.

Current talk suggest NBC may attempt to pull a major shift next season, moving the hit Sci-Fi series Heroes from Monday to Thursday nights.

It’s been a busy day in terms of news relating to NBC’s 2007/2008 television series. This item pertains to Scrubs. Though the show has struggled this season with lower than average numbers, the network is expected to renew the comedy for its 7th season.
