Weekend Box Office — April 27-29, 2007

Another slow weekend goes to last weeks top film, Disturbia which took in $9.02M from 3,047 theaters.

This is now the fifth week in which a Paramount/Dreamworks film has held the top spot and the third in a row for Disturbia.

Disturbia has taken in $52.11M through 17 days of release, dropping only 30.6% in its third week.

Three new releases made their way into the top 10. They were paced by Buena Vista’s The Invisible in second place with $7.72M from 2,019 theaters, Paramount’s Next debuted in third place with $7.13M from 2,725 theaters and in ninth place was Lion Gate Films’ Condemned with $3.81M from 2,310 theaters.

Just out of the top 10 for new films was Yari Film Group’s Kickin’ It Old Skool in 11th place with $2.80M from 1,816 theaters.

Rounding out the top 10 was Fracture which dropped two spots and 38.1% to fourth place with $6.81M from 2,443 theaters (21.08M through 10 days of release), Blades of Glory dropped two spots and 32.7% to fifth place with $5.16M from 3,056 theaters (108.05M through 31 days of release), Hot Fuzz dropped only 16.6% as it expanded to a less limited release, grossing $4.88M from 1,272 theaters ($12.60M through 10 days of release) for sixth place, Meet the Robinsons dropped two spots and 30.5% to sixth place with $4.84M from 2,461 ($88.35M through 31 days of release), , Vacancy dropped four spots and 45.9% to eighth place with a take of $4.11M from 2,551 theaters ($13.78M through 10 days of release) and finally in 10th place was Are We Done Yet?, which dropped three spots and 33.4% with $3.45M from 2,701 theaters ($43.87M through 26 days of release).

The best per theater average in the top 10 went to Hot Fuzz, with $3,834 per theater (1,272 sites).What follows below is the top 10 chart (Actuals) for the weekend.
