Weekend Box Office — April 6-8, 2007

Paramount/Dreamwork’s Blades of Glory managed to stay in first place in its second week, taking in $22.52M from 3,410 theaters.

The Will Ferrell starring comedy has now grossed $67.91M through 10 days of release.

Other new releases in the top 10 were paced by Sony/Revolution’s Are We Done Yet (which opened on Wednesday) in third place with $14.26M from 2,877 theaters, Weinstein/Dimension’s Grindhouse which disappointed in fourth place with $11.60M from 2,624 theaters, Warner Bros. The Reaping (which opened on Thursday) in fifth place with $10.03M from 2,603 theaters and lastly in 10th place was Fox’s Firehouse Dog (also a Wednesday opener) with $3.84M from 2,860 theaters.

Rounding out the top 10 we come to Meet the Robinsons, which stayed in second place and dropped only 33.5% with a take of $16.72M from 3,435 theaters ($51.95M through 10 days of release), 300 dropped three spots and only 26.8% to take sixth place with $8.37M from 2,674 theaters as it nears the $200M mark ($193.40M through 31 days of release), Wild Hogs dropped two spots and only 23.3% (the best holdover for any movie in the top 10) to take seventh place with $6.64M from 2,825 theaters ($145.26M through 38 days of release), Shooter was down two spots and 30.0% in eighth place with $5.86M from 2,353 theaters ($36.71M through 17 days of release) and lastly in ninth place was TMNT which dropped five spots and 47.7% to take in $4.83M from 2,811 theaters ($46.61M through 17 days of release).

The best per theater average in the top 10 went to Blades of Glory, which averaged $6,604 per theater (3,410 sites).
