Broadcast TV Ratings for the Week Ending 4/1/2007

CBS, despite being down just like all the other networks, was able to take a first place finish for the week among households and viewers.  Fox took first among adults 18-49.

Before getting into the ratings data, here are a few show highlights (premieres).

On Tuesday, the series premiere of The Great American Dream Vote crashed and burned with dreadful ratings.  The following evening was even worse.  ABC immediately canceled the show after its first two airings.

  • Tuesday, March 27, 2007
    • Households – 4.0/5 rating, 4.505M
    • Viewers – 2.1 rating, 5.881M
    • Adults 18-49 – 1.9/5 rating, 2.481M (estimated)
  • Wednesday, March 28, 2007
    • Households – 3.2/5 rating, 3.545M
    • Viewers – 1.6 rating, 4.537M
    • Adults 18-49 – 1.5/4 rating, 1.959M (estimated)

And now, on to the weekly ratings.

Compared to the year prior, CBS was down 13% among total households, down 12% among total viewers and down 14% among adults 18-49. FOX was down 4% among total households, even among total viewers and down 6% among adults 18-49. ABC was even among total households, down 3% among total viewers and down 17% among adults 18-49. NBC was down 17% among total households, down 21% among total viewers and down 27% among adults 18-49. And finally The CW was even among total households, down 1% among total viewers and down 5% among adults 18-49 (all compared against the averages of The WB and UPN).

CBS was first for the week in households (7.3/12 rating, 8.09 million), total viewers (4.0/11 rating, 11.35 million) and second among adults 18-49 (3.3/10 rating, 4.34 million).
