Top 10 Box Office for Friday, March 23, 2007

According to preliminary estimates, Warner Bros. had another number one, as TMMT took the top spot Friday with a solid $8.60M .

Five other new releases were in the top 10, paced by Paramount’s Shooter in third place with $4.75M, Fox Atomic’s The Hills Have Eyes 2 in fifth place with $3.80M, New Line’s The Last Mimzy in seventh place with $2.75M, Sony/Columbia’s Reign Over Me in eighth place with $2.50M and Liongates’ Pride in ninth place with $1.20M.

Rounding out the top 10 was last week’s number one 300 in second place with $6.00M ($147.84M through 15 days of release), Wild Hogs in fourth place with $4.00M ($113.45M through 22 days of release), Premonition in sixth place with $3.20M ($25.29M through 8 days of release) and finally Dead Silence in 10th place with $1,100,000 ($10.88M through 8 days of release).

Keep in mind, all box office receipts above are estimates.

300 had the best per-theater average of any movie in the top 10 taking in an estimated $2,765/per theater out of 3,110 sites.
