Strong Debut for The Riches

FX’s newest original series, The Riches, bowed strongly on Monday night.

The series averaged 3.8 million total viewers with an impressive 2.5M of those viewers falling in the key A18-49 demographic.

The A18-49 rating ranks as the second best series premiere rating for that demo behind The Shield.  An encore immediately following the show averaged 1.4M total viewers (800,000 among adults 18-49).

    I think THE RICHES is a great show,will it be on again????I HOPE SO I am 70 years old,and watch molstly news and talk shows or prefer to read books. This show kept me interested and laughing. the characters were unbeleivable and lovable at the same time.will they return?? there was a lot of imagination and great creativity. I kept looking for the last episode,but i think it may have been taken off the air. i was very dissapointed.could not find out what happened to these people.

    I was totally bored by the premiere episode of "The Riches", and totally forgot to watch the 2nd episode. it was THAT forgetable. I'll take "Dirt" over "The Riches" any day.
  • "The Riches" very much lives up to their hype. I had seen a trailer for the show around the end of Febuary when I went to a movie. I've been a fan of Eddie Izzard for a little over a year, with his stand up specials and such. I was quite excited to see this and when I saw it, I went from not just excited but marveled. Captivated, even. These roles are so different from what these actors have portrayed in the past and gives new ground for the up and coming actors portraying the children. When we thought we've seen it all on television this show proves we haven't--in a very good way. I hope this show stays on for years to come, it deserves every success it meets. Pure brilliance.

    I enjoyed the first episode very much. Interesting subject matter of the often not spoken or written about group called the "Travelers". It was funny, sad, adventurous and Eddie & Minnie both looked and acted like I have never seen them before. They played characters that were tough, daring and sympathetic. I will definitely watch next week. (Harrison, Ohio)
