Jason Bateman has been added to the cast of Fox Searchlight’s dark comedy Juno, joining Arrested Development co-star Michael Cera.
Emmy winner, Allison Janney was also added to the cast of the film, which will be directed by Jason Reitman.
Bateman and Cera, who were paired as father and son in the Fox sitcom “Arrested Development,” are being reunited, though in very different roles. Bateman will play the emotionally stunted husband of Garner; the couple is interested in adopting Juno’s unborn child. Janney, best known for her long-running role in “The West Wing,” will play Juno’s stepmother. Cera will play Juno’s loyal best friend and the one responsible for her pregnancy.
