Broadcast TV Evening News Ratings for the Week Ending February 16th

Both NBC and ABC gain week-to-week, averaging more than 10M viewers, while CBS loses ground.  ABC comes ahead of NBC for third straight week among adults 25-54.

Weather Channel HD

The Weather Channel will be joining the High-Definition universe soon, as the channel is readying a launch of a simulcast HD network by the second half of 2007.

Marc Cherry Stays on with ABC

Marc Cherry (Desperate Housewives) has signed a four-year deal with ABC Television to remain on board with the network through the 2011 season. That will take the series through 7 seasons.

Saw IV Ready to Go

The Saw franchise will continue on.  Director Darren Lynn Bousman (who directed Saw II and Saw III) will be returning to film the fourth installment, which will begin production on April 16.

New Host for NBC’s “The Biggest Loser”

NBC has announced that Days of Our Lives star Alison Sweeney will be replacing Caroline Rhea as the host of The Biggest Loser next season.

Possible Grey’s Anatomy Spin Off

There are reports that Shonda Rhimes (creator of Grey’s Anatomy) is considering spinning off a series starring the character of Addison Montgomery.
