Robert Adler, Inventor of Remote, Dead at 93 February 16, 2007 8:27 pm

Most people couldn’t even imagine watching their television in this day and age without the comfort of never having to get up to change the channel.

It’s a convenience we often times take for granted.

Robert Adler, co-creator of the first television remote, passed away Thursday of heart failure at a Boise nursing home. He was 93.

CBS and ABC split another Thursday, with CBS taking the win among households and viewers and ABC winning among the key A18-49 demographic. Grey’s Anatomy hits a season-high, and is the nights highest rated and most watched program. (more…)
