Broadcast TV Evening News Ratings for the Week Ending February 9th

The first week after the Super Bowl saw a slight increase for CBS’s Evening News with Katie Couric, as well as for ABC’s World News with Charles Gibson (which managed to move into first place) NBC’s Nightly News with Brian Williams dipped slightly.

Here are the average ratings for the week of February 5th to February 9th with the change from the previous week in parentheses.:

ABC – World News with Charles Gibson

  • 9,700,000 total viewers (+70,000 viewers)
  • 6.7/13 HH rating (+0.1 rating points)
  • 3,180,000 A25-54 viewers (+120,000 viewers)
  • 2.6/10 A25-54 rating (+0.1 rating points)

NBC – Nightly News with Brian Williams

  • 9,520,000 total viewers (-320,000 viewers)
  • 6.6/12 HH rating (-0.2 rating points)
  • 3,010,000 A25-54 viewers (-20,000 viewers)
  • 2.5/9 A25-54 rating (no change)

CBS – Evening News with Katie Couric

  • 7,990,000 total viewers (+210,000 viewers)
  • 5.6/10 HH rating (+0.2 rating points)
  • 2,710,000 A25-54 viewers (+210,000 viewers)
  • 2.2/8 A25-54 rating (+0.2 rating points)
