Joss Whedon Now Off of Wonder Woman

Well, Whedon is no longer attached to direct the Wonder Woman movie.  He broke the news on his website.

Top 20 DVD Sales For The Week Ending January 28, 2007

Only three new releases made their way into the top 20 DVD charts this past week, with all three coming in the top five. Premiering at number one was Saw III, followed by The Guardian at number three and Invincible Iron Man at number four.

Top 10 Box Office for Friday, February 2, 2007

According to preliminary estimates, Sony’s The Messenger took the top spot on Friday with $5.91M million in its first day of release.

NFL Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

Former Dallas Cowboy wide receiver Michael Irvin leads the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2007, along with running back Thurman Thomas, offensive lineman Bruce Mathews, defensive back Roger Wehrli, tight end Charlie Sanders and guard Gene Hickerson (both of which were the two nominees of the veterans’ committee).

Ghostbusters III — In CGI

While conducting an interview with CISN FM Country, Dan Akroyd confirmed that Ghostbusters III is a go, albeit in the form of CGI.

Broadcast TV Ratings for Friday, February 2, 2007

CBS takes first place for the evening. The nights highest rated and most watched program was Numb3rs, while Ghost Whisperer came away with the top spot among adults 18-49. The CW gets great results from Smackdown.

Update on Status of Battlestar Galactica and The Dresden Files

After a weak debut in their respective season openers, Battlestar Galactica and The Dresden Files both showed signs of improvement, likely due to not having to air against the AFC Championship Game.
