Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final book in the Harry Potter series penned by J.K. Rowling has been given a firm release date: 12:01 a.m. on July 21, 2007.
“We are thrilled to announce the publication date of the seventh installment in this remarkable series,” says Lisa Holden, president of Scholastic Children’s Books. “We join J.K. Rowling’s millions of readers — young and old, veterans and newcomers — in anticipating what lies ahead.”
The pricetag of the book was set at $34.99 by the publishers, though discounts through online retailers and bookstores are expected.
Details on the content of the book remain scarce, but the author has let slip that at least two main characters will die.
