CBS takes the evening with so-so numbers for the premiere of Armed & Famous.  ABC’s comedies decline from the week prior.

CBS finished in first place for the evening with a 6.4/10 household rating, 9.70 million total viewers and a 2.9/8 rating among adults 18-49.

  • Last Week:
    • Households –6.9/11 rating [#2]

It was a stronger first place among the key adult 18-49 demo, however.
    • Week-to-week time-period numbers (The King of Queens & Two and a Half Men):
      • Households – 5.6/9 to 5.3/8

  • 10:30 PM: That led into another repeat, this time of CSI: NY (6.9/12 HH rating, 10.11M viewers, 3.1/9 A18-49 rating) which gave CBS another timeslot win.

NBC followed in second place for the evening with a 5.4/8 household rating, 8.00 million total viewers and a 2.7/7 rating among adults 18-49.

  • Last Week:

  • 8:00 PM: The second week of Friday Night Lights (4.3/7 HH rating, 6.27M viewers, 2.3/6 A18-49 rating) in its new new timeslot showed some slight gains from the week prior and matched a season high among adults 18-49. Given the currently weak competition on Wednesday nights, these ratings may be satisfactory for NBC. At least the show isn’t shedding viewers.

KOP was down 1.91M viewers, 25% among households and 27% among adults 18-49. ‘Emergency’ fared much better, with the only noticeable decline among adults 18-49 (15%). Though ratings are low you have to give some credit to the show for improving upon its lead-in by 540,000 viewers, 21% among households and 5% among adults 18-49. Next week’s episodes will provide a better idea of where these two shows are headed.
