Martin Scorcese will develop (with hopes to direct) an adaption of Eric Jager’s “The Last Duel: A True Story of Crime, Scandal and Trial by Combat in Medieval France”. The movie will carry the title of “Duel”.
The film is part of Scorcese’s new four-year deal at Paramount which will see him direct and produce features (including direct-to-DVD), television and even digital content.
“The Last Duel” was written in 2004 and tells the story of a duel sanctioned by the French government between two knights in 1386 France.
