CBS takes the win in households and viewers, while ABC settles for first in adults 18-49.

CBS finished in first place with an 8.0/13 HH rating (12.81M viewers) but was third in A18-49 delivering a 3.4/9 rating in that demo.

  • At 8:00 PM, “NCIS” (10.3/17 HH rating, 17.00M viewers, 4.3/11 A18-49 rating.

      • Viewers – 15.72M to 15.78M to 17.00M
      • A18-49 – 4.2/11 to 4.2/11 4.3/11
  • At 9:00 PM, “The Unit” (7.6/12 HH rating, 12.20M viewers, 3.4/9 A18-49 rating).

      • A18-49 – 2.9/8 to 2.7/8

ABC followed in second for the evening with a 7.0/11 HH rating (10.86M viewers) but was first in adults 18-49 delivering a 4.7/13 rating in that demo.

    • 12.7/20 HH rating [#1]
    • 19.63M viewers [#1]
    • 5.7/15 A18-49 rating [#2]
  • 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the “2006 American Music Awards” (7.0/11 HH rating, 10.86M viewers, 4.7/13 A18-49 rating. This was down slightly in viewers from last year’s telecast (11.67M to 10.86M) but up in adults 18-49 (4.4/11 to 4.7/13).

NBC finished in third for the evening with a 6.7/11 HH rating, but was fourth in viewers (9.94M)
and fourth in adults 18-49, delivering a 4.2/11 rating in that demo.

FOX followed in fourth place with a 6.2/10 HH rating but was third in viewers (9.64M) but was a strong second in A18-49 delivering a 4.2/11 rating in that demo.

  • At 8:00 PM, “Standoff” (3.2/5 HH rating, 4.93M viewers, 2.1/6 A18-49 rating).

      • Viewers – 5.36M to 4.72M to 4.93M
      • A18-49 – 2.3/6 to 2.1/6 to 2.1/6
  • At 9:00 PM, “House” (9.3/15 HH rating, 15.15M viewers, 6.4/17 A18-49 rating).

    • Week-to-week numbers:

The CW finished in fifth for the evening delivering a 2.3/4 HH rating (3.61M viewers) and a 1.6/4 A18-49 rating.

  • At 8:00 PM, “Gilmore Girls” (2.9/5 HH rating, 4.35M viewers, 1.9/5 A18-49 rating).

      • Viewers – 4.35M to 4.44M to 4.35M
