ABC gets a better than average performance out of its College Football presentation to take the win in households, viewers and adults 18-49.

ABC finished in a strong first for the evening with a 5.0/9 HH rating (7.91M viewers) and a 2.7/9 A18-49 rating.

  • Last Week’s Numbers:
    • 3.4/6 HH rating [#4]
    • 5.28M viewers [#4]
    • 1.8/6 A18-49 rating [#4]
  • 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, ABC aired “ESPN on ABC College Football” (7.91M viewers, 2.7/9).
    • Week-to-week numbers:
      • Viewers – 4.91M to 5.28M to 7.91M
      • A18-49 – 1.5/5 to 1.8/6 to 2.7/9

CBS finished in a close second with a 5.0/9 HH rating (7.25M viewers), but was third in adults 18-49 with a 1.8/6 rating in that demo.

NBC finished in third with a 4.0/7 HH rating (5.78M viewers) but was fourth in adults 18-49 delivering a 1.7/5 rating in that demo.

  • 10:00 PM, a repeat of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (7.47M viewers, 2.1/7).

FOX followed in fourth for the evening with a 3.5/6 HH rating (5.69M viewers) and was second in adults 18-49 delivering a 2.0/6 rating in that demo.
