Cable TV Ratings for The Week of 10/16 to 10/22

ESPN was the top rated ad-supported cable network last week, averaging a 2.5 household rating (2.31 million households) and 3.01 million total viewers in prime time. For the week, ESPN was #1 in all three core demos, averaging 1.46M A18-49, 1.53M A25-54 and 684,000 A18-34. Disney, however, was the top rated cable network among ad-supported and non-ad-supported networks, averaging a 2.8 household rating and 3.50 million total viewers in prime time.


ESPN was led by its Monday Night Football game between the Arizona Cardinals and Chicago Bears. The game drew 14.23 million total viewers and was #1 in all three core demos, A18-49 (7.35M), A25-54 (7.61M) and A18-34 (3.38M).

USA Network was second place on the week, averaging a 1.8 household rating (1.67 million households) and 2.18 million total viewers in primetime, mainly on the strength of its Monday night “WWE Raw”.

The network was second in all three core demos, A18-49 (1.03M), A25-54 (966,000) and A18-34 (525,000).

The top rated program for the network was the two hour “WWE Raw” which averaged 4.76 million total viewers, 2.35M adults 18-49 (#5), 2.15M adults 25-54 (#5) and 1.28M adults 18-34 (#5).

TNT followed in third place, averaging a 1.6 household rating (1.43 million households) and 1.80 million total viewers.

It was #4 in adults 18-49 (737,000), #3 in adults 25-54 (793,000) and #8 in adults 18-34 (335,000).

Nick-at-Nite came in fourth place, averaging a 1.3 household rating (1.15 million households) and 1.43 million total viewers, while Cartoon Network rounded out the top five with a 1.3 household rating (1.14 million households) and 1.40 million total viewers.
