Broadcast TV Ratings for The Week of 10/2 to 10/8

It’s CBS in viewers and ABC in A18-49 once again.

CBS was first week for the week in total viewers (8.1/13, 12.53M), second in Adults 18-49 (3.8/10, 4.9M ) first in Adults 25-54 (4.8/12, 5.8M) and third in A18-34 (2.6/8).

  • Top program
    • CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
      • 21.51M viewers – (#2)
      • The series lost about 2.26M from last week’s episode.
      • Averaging 22.93M viewers (#2) through three episodes this season.

ABC was second for the week in total viewers (7.3/12, 11.25M), first in Adults 18-49 (4.0/11, 5.2M ), second in Adults 25-54 (4.6/12, 5.6M) and first in A18-34 (3.3/10).

  • Top program
    • Grey’s Anatomy
      • 22.80M viewers – (#2)
      • Down about .68M viewers from the week before.
      • Averaging 24.16M viewers (#1) through three episodes this season

NBC was third for the week in total viewers (6.5/11, 9.92M), third in Adults 18-49 (3.6/10, 4.7M), third in Adults 25-54 (4.2/11, 5.2M) and second in A18-34 (3.0/9).

  • Top Program
    • “NBC Sunday Night Football”
      • 15.14M viewers – (#15)
      • This is a decrease of about 1.8M viewers from the previous week.
      • For the Fall 2006 season (which began the week of 9/18), SNF is averaging 16.28M viewers.

FOX was fourth for the week in total viewers (5.2/9, 7.79M), fourth in Adults 18-49 (2.7/8, 3.5M ), fourth in Adults 25-54 (3.0/8, 3.7M) and fourth in A18-34 (2.3/7).

  • Top Program
    • House (R)
      • 8.89M viewers – 3.1 Rating (#45)
      • Because of the repeat nature, a comparison wouldn’t be fair. It definitely speaks volumes thought that the networks top rated show was a repeat.

The CW was fifth for the week in total viewers (2.3/4, 3.52M), fifth in Adults 18-49 (1.5/4, 1.9M ), fifth in Adults 25-54 (1.4/3, 1.7M) and fifth in A18-34 (1.7/5).

  • Top Program
    • “America’s Next Top Model” (last week’s top show for the network was “Smallville”–that show went from 4.96M (#79) to 4.52M (#74) this past week.
      • 5.25M viewers – (#71)
      • This is up about .57M viewers from the previous week (4.68M to 5.25M).
